I'm a 36-year-old holding a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science. With over 15 years of professional experience, I embarked on my BPO career journey in July 2010, two years after graduating from college. During this time, I had the opportunity to work on a Telco account, which fulfilled one of my long-held aspirations. I thoroughly enjoyed my time in the BPO industry, which led me to work for nine years across different companies. I spent the longest duration at Convergys, precisely four years and eight months. As my responsibilities grew heavier, I actively sought out a company that could provide me with better opportunities and a healthier work-life balance. This quest led me to apply for a position as a Financial Planning admin assistant or Virtual Assistant (VA). I found great fulfillment in this role as it taught me valuable lessons and enabled me to gain insights into various aspects, including financial planning and management. Additionally, the job sharpened my attention to detail, improved my time management skills, and honed my ability to prioritize tasks based on urgency and multitask to meet daily deadlines. My journey into remote work began during the pandemic when I continued to work with the same company and role. Furthermore, I successfully managed a part-time position as a VA during the graveyard shift. Both roles allowed me to leverage a wide range of applications and tools, enhancing my versatility and adaptability in the digital workspace.
